The Plan.
Here are some of my earlier designs and modification notes during the R&D phase. You can notice the tube below the top access holes did not line up perfectly due to the complete manual assembly process.
The use of drill bits also did not create a clean perfectly round hole in all attempts.
All holes and tubes where measured individually requiring a lot of time to assemble.
So, Whats the plan
Once I knew the trap worked I filed for a provisional patent. I determined the idea of concealing them in something different as earlier mentioned was not necessary as the colours themselves and locations that are available to use them perform the same goal.
I have been making all these by hand. Every hole and component is laid out, drilled, cut and assembled. Colours have been chosen and used to fit with the Drabb model. With this comes some inconsistencies and quality has some room for improvement.
With you as backers for support I am planning to have tooling designed and built to stamp all holes at the same time. With this repeatability I will also be able to have an assembly fixture designed and built that will improve the efficiency and quality for production for both models.
The tooling and stamping I will have done at a shop that is local. My goals are to fulfill the rewards I am hoping to see requested and work to move this brand onto store shelves this summer.
Time Line
